🎤 Keynote Speaker – Thursday, October 9
Andrew Turner, Chief Technology Officer, ArcGIS Hub at Esri

Andrew Turner is a global leader in open data and geospatial technology. As CTO of ArcGIS Hub, Andrew focuses on building tools that empower governments and communities to share data and collaborate effectively. He has worked with organizations ranging from the World Bank and NOAA to local governments and international NGOs. A former CTO of GeoIQ (acquired by Esri in 2012), Andrew also co-founded Crisis Commons and served on the National Academies’ Geographic Sciences Committee. His publications and innovations have shaped the modern GIS landscape.

📍Keynote Abstract:
We’re at the threshold of a technological shift—akin to the advent of personal computing and the internet—that will transform how people interact with data, each other, and the world around them. In his keynote, Andrew will explore the evolution of GIS over the next decade, from generative AI to augmented reality, and how we can ensure these advances are ethical, equitable, and accessible to all.

🍽️ Friday Luncheon Speaker – Friday, October 10
Frank Winters, Owner, WintersGeo Inc.

With over 35 years in GIS, including his time as New York State’s Geographic Information Officer, Frank Winters brings a deep understanding of both policy and practice. At GeoCon 2025, Frank will focus on the power of communication—showing how GIS professionals can more effectively present their data to inform and influence decision-makers. Expect practical tools, plenty of insight, and a few laughs along the way.
