On September 10, 2026, distinguished speakers and leaders from Hunter College, NYC Emergency Management, Esri, GISMO, and other organizations, joined together for A Commemoration of the Geospatial Response to the Attack on the World Trade Center and Reflections on 25 Years of Progress. At this special event, they shared perspectives on the geospatial response to the September 11 attacks, twenty-five years of progress in emergency management and GIS, and the future of geospatial technology to improve disaster response.
