Did you know…

…that Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who recently passed away last September, was an American icon who devoted her life to fighting for equality and justice for all – especially women? Today, you can see and pay respect to Ruth’s childhood home in Midwood, Brooklyn.

…that Cafe Con Libros, was created to recognize the contentious history women of color have with the word “feminist?” It stands as a testament to radical thinking, female-leadership, and good coffee.

…that Fort Tryon Park’s Margaret Corbin Circle, was named after a hero of the American Revolution, Margaret Corbin who dressed as a man and joined her husband in the Battle of Fort Washington in Manhattan? A plaque at Fort Tryon Park praises her “as the first woman” to take a soldier’s part in the War for Liberty.”
