Mission

The NYS GIS Association Early Professionals Committee connects students and early career GIS professionals across New York State to opportunities for learning, networking, and leadership development. Our goal is to create a supportive community that fosters professional growth and collaboration within the geospatial field.

 

Committee Goals

  • Build a statewide community of early career GIS professionals
  • Host quarterly virtual meetups and at least one in-person event
  • Launch a mentorship program connecting students and professionals
  • Increase visibility of EPC within the NYS GIS Association
  • Provide professional development opportunities through workshops and panels
