This event was co-sponsored by GISMO and SWG (Society of Woman Geographers) and was hosted at the NYC Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC). In honor of Women’s History Month, GISMO hosted a round table discussion with prominent women in the field of GIS. Panel members shared how they got started in the field, the successes and challenges they encountered along the way, and any advice they had to offer others. Each speaker introduced herself and gave a brief 5-minute talk, followed by a moderated Q&A.
