The New York Academy of Sciences has recently announced an exciting partnership with the EnCorps STEM Teacher Program, aimed at supporting NYC STEM professionals who are looking to transition into K-12 education.
We are currently looking for professionals or alumni from the fields of science, IT, engineering, and research who are interested in using their previous experience to inspire middle and high school students to become the future of STEM. Through this program, EnCorp Fellows commit to Guest Teaching with a Host Teacher from one of our partner sites for 2 hours/week over the course of a semester. During this time, Fellows gain valuable experience in working in a classroom setting, attend professional development sessions, receive support in exploring certification program options, and even receive a stipend upon completion!
