As a panelist, you will share your GIS work experience and how relevant your attained GIS skills are in your day-to-day work. We are seeking professionals from an array of career fields including but not limited to, education, CBO/NGOs, nonprofits, state/national/local agencies, corporate, start-ups, and any other career niche.
The Value of GIS Skills in the Workplace
Wednesday, May 12 at 12 p.m.
As a panelist, you will share your insight on the GIS skills that are essential and transferable in any work environment. We are seeking representatives of organizations and employers that can speak on the valuable contributions that GIS experts can bring to the workforce in and outside of the traditional GIS scope of work.
NYS GIS Association Student Showcase
Wednesday, May 26 at 12 p.m.
Students (undergraduate and graduate) from any discipline or academic department, will have an opportunity to present an oral summary of a project that demonstrates the understanding and application of GIS theory, methods, analysis, geospatial technology, or developments.
